RMSI supports Search And Rescue at the 2013 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge
RMSI, a Dubai-based international medical solutions company, is providing support and sponsorship for the Search And Rescue (SAR) capability at this year’s Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge (ADDC).
The eight-day international cross-country rally, starting on 4 April, sees competitors from across the globe travelling to the emirate of Abu Dhabi to brave the harsh environment of the Liwa Desert and the Moreeb area of the Empty Quarter. The SAR team plays a key role during the event by conducting critical rescue missions in the expansive desert and administering medical aid.
No stranger to providing urgent medical support in desperate circumstances, RMSI CEO Rob Lamb felt supporting the SAR at the event was a great opportunity to give back to the local community, saying “RMSI specialises in providing medical rescue services, mostly in high-risk environments, so it was a natural fit to support the SAR team at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. We understand the obstacles medical teams can face when operating in challenging environments, so it is great to have the opportunity to support such a prestigious event.”
